We are certified in the insertion and use of “Temporary Anchorage Devices” (TADs) designed specifically for orthodontic usage and we can now offer this new technology to our clients who may benefit from it.
- These small implants or « mini-screws » can be used, in certain cases, as an alternate treatment options to obtain tooth movements and results, which would be difficult or sometimes impossible to achieve otherwise.
- In some cases, the use of these temporary implants can shorten treatment time and prevent the need for more invasive, complex and costly procedures such as jaw surgery.
- When a tooth is missing or was extracted prior to orthodontic treatment, temporary mini-screws may make it possible to close remaining spaces avoiding the need for artificial and costly tooth replacement after orthodontic treatment.
